Energy Efficiency

This course is in line with Mitsidi's mission to disseminate knowledge to society for a more efficient and sustainable future.

The course lasted 8 hours and covered several topics related to industrial energy management.

The audience for this first class was quite diverse, ranging from employees of large multinational groups to small business owners seeking to better understand the situation of the energy sector in the country to identify business opportunities.

The first part of the course addressed the topic of business management in a broader way, so that everyone needs to be aware that energy must have its own management system, as well as other resources of a company such as employees, for example.

The second part of the course covered all stages of energy management, from how to perform an energy diagnosis and identify opportunities for improvement to how to monitor the system already implemented. Without forgetting, of course, how to analyze the technical and economic forecasts of each project.

In the final phase of the course, real cases of energy management systems that were implemented by Mitsidi were presented.

As the course progressed, it became very clear that almost all companies suffer from the same difficulties in implementing efficient energy management and carrying out actions that would reduce energy consumption. A lack of knowledge on the subject on the part of decision-makers and a lack of prioritization or time were pointed out by everyone as the main difficulties.
